Imagine Warren & Raymond living in 20's, 30's, 40's...

Linda, Steven, Susan and family,
I remember all the violin practices, archery lessons, dripping snow into the house to warm ourselves on the heat register and yes, the time he caught us playing spin the bottle with the guys behind the garage. He never seemed to mind me hanging around in the garage while he and Dad were working on cars. A patient man!
I'm glad he always kept busy.
My love and sincerest condolences, Rae Jeanne(Halt)Huston and family

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I remember when we first moved to DC, and stayed at your house. Your dad always seemed so "big and tall". I bragged to my friends at school that my uncle was in the Army Band. I am sure he is playing in the band again. Love to you all.

LINDA, STEVE, SUSAN,

YOUR DAD TAUGHT ME SOME OF THE FINER POINTS OF ARCHERY ALONG WITH SGT. BUSHY AT BOLLING A.F.B. HE ALSO TAUGHT ME HOW TO WORK ON MY Z-28 ENGINE WHEN I DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE-- HE PAID ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
WE SHOULD ALL BE SO LUCKY TO HAVE SUCH A FULFILLED
LIFE. IT'S TIME TO CELEBRATE ALL THE LIVES HE HAS TOUCHED.

DAVID M. DIETZ WALDORF. MD.

Linda and family -
I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. Any loss is difficult, but Daddies are the hardest I think. Please know my thoughts and heartfelt love are with you and Frank during this time.

Linda,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family. May all the happy memories of your dad's amazing life always bring a smile to your face.

Linda,
I am so sorry for your loss! He was a lucky man to have devoted children to care for him. Please pass my sympathies to your entire family. I hope the thought of him reunited with all those he has loved that has gone before him and him playing with Heaven's band will bring all of you some comfort.

Linda, our love and most sincere condolences are with you....

Ray on furlough from WW2

Ray was a wonderful big brother and I will miss him greatly. He was a good influence in my life, and he always "watched out" for me. As adults, I loved to hear his many stories about his time in the Army Band. Another fallen veteran from a by-gone era. He will be missed.

May all our happy memories of Ray carry us through and soften these sad times. I will always recall how happy Ray was ballroom dancing through life after his years of playing wonderful music and travelling with the Army band. Sincerely, Barbara Ramo
