I knew Bern, Tom and Mary and their parents from the old days in Hartford (LaSalette). I lost track of them after I left the area for more seminary study. I wish I had caught up with them before they passed; they were good friends to me.

Kate, I'm very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

When you grow up in a "smallish" town like Rocky Hill, there are certain family names that everyone knows. Such was the Hayden family. May the heirs of the legacy and all the family cherish the many family memories they have and may you find comfort in God's blessings. Peace be with you all at this time.

What a beautiful tribute to your father at St. Elizabeth Seton this morning! He, as well as your beloved mother, clearly made a difference in so many lives. I spoke to Laura, who now lives in Peoria, as soon as I returned home. Your parents and your brother Larry were such a part of her life in Rocky Hill. Heart felt condolences go out to Ray's family. We were across the hall teachers at Roosevelt and shared lots of good chats between classes on hall duty and after school playing tennis. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.
