Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure and privledge of knowing Ray. That might sound strange coming from a Union Rep who had to bargain labor agreements with the man. Ray was fair, honest and as so many others have noted, a man with a great heart. To Wes and the rest of the family, thanks for sharing him with the rest of us.

A physical Angel on earth now an Angel in heaven. What a wonderful person.
I only saw Ray a few times, but knew of all the fantastic projects and support he gave to the community through my husband Pete, who is employed at Tidewater Barge. Pete admired him deeply.
We were very thankful for Rays' contribution that made the Hospise House a reality when Petes' mother needed to be there. What a wonderful caring atmosphere for those with that need.
Thank you Ray for being an...

I did not know Ray. I only know of him because of his daughter, Linda, who is unquestionably one of most compassionate and giving people I have ever encountered. So in that regard, I feel I know a bit about Mr. Hickey. He clearly took his duties as a father seriously.

The world has lost one of the greats! Our family will dearly miss Ray. He was the Owner of Tidewater Barge when he hired my husband, Terry, 19 years ago. He sponsored our daughter, Mariah, for the Miss Greater Vancouver's Outstanding Teen 2007 (she won). Our family supports & volunteers for the YWCA, where Mr. Hickey was also a primary supporter & donated to their cause. We bought his book as an inspiration to our daughter, who has applied his concepts in her life on a daily basis. He was...

Our son John, a member of the Jack, Will and Rob Boys and Girls Club in Camas, has been one of the many lives touched by Rays generosity. Mr. Hickeys contrabution to the club has made a difference in the lives of many Camas and Washougal youth. Our sincere condolences go out to his family and friends.

Thanks for your friendship. You are truly an inspiration and will be greatly missed..

It was such an honor to know Ray. He was so much to so many. His contribution to community and life impacted more people he did not know than most of us ever impact by knowing. That's a legend. That was Ray. My prayers are with your family now. I will pray.
I had the honor of speaking to Ray on the phone the friday prior his passing. He was in rare form. He could only reflect on all the blessings God allowed him to experience. Ray was a man who was so grateful and counted his blessings....

Our condolences to Ray's family. His life and book is an inspiration to all. It will be mandatory reading for all my grandchildren. I enjoyed the rare times I was able to visit with Ray and will always remember how proud my grandmother Beatrice was of her Brother Ray. GOD willing they're together again as one big happy family.

Ray was a great inspiration to others in the Columbia River community. We will miss his enthusiasm, support and generosity.
