Not sure what to say?

To the family and freinds of Ray Hook. Ray was our neighbor across the street. from the day we moved in he showed a sweetness and thoughtfullness about him. Both Ray and Lilah enjoyed our four children, we clearly woke up the hood. Ray was there for me when i lost my mom, he consoled me. After our home burned down Ray was alway's there. My family will never forget him. Our deepest sympathy to you all. Mark & cookie, Geno, Angela, Santino, and Victor Sangervasi

I grew up down the street from Mr. and Mrs. Hook and I am deeply saddened by his passing. He was a wonderful, funny and kind man. My sincere condolences to the family.

I am sorry to hear about the passing of Ray. He got the biggest kick out of Lilah, my friend Jackie and I when we came to Washington to visit. He said he could not understand how we could sit and find things to talk about for hours on end the three or four days we would be there. I thought he was very tolerant of us.

My name is Cheryl and I am the eldest child of Ray and Lilah Hook. The sudden passing of our dad, Ray Hook, has been difficult for us all who have known and loved him. He was and has been my life long heroe. A man of integrity and moral values; of compassion and comittment and the best role model ever. Love you dad, Cheryl

It's been fifty years but I still can't call him anything but "Mr. Hook", as in Kristy's dear Dad. I first met Mr. Hook when I was six years old and Kristy and I became best friends...a friendship we've been blessed to sustain all these years. And when I think of Mr. Hook, I picture him in his easy chair in the living room at 258 Adele Street, peering over the top of the newspaper to greet me with a friendly, "Hello, Margaret." Always sweet and kind and always always a twinkle in his eye....

I am so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. Ray and my dad, John Rostoni, were life-long friends and John spoke so highly of him. I was honored to meet Ray at my dad's memorial in March, 2008. I will always remember my dad telling me how he and Ray, as children, built a fort in the large eucalyptus tree on C Street in San Rafael -- I think of them both every time I pass that tree.
My warmest thoughts and heart-felt condolences to Ray's family and friends.

May your hearts be filled with beautiful memories of your Dad. He was a warm, kind and special person and I am deeply saddened by his passing. I recall the many times over the years how Ray and Lilah welcomed me into their home. I will forever cherish their friendship.

Sincere and heartfelt condolences to the entire family on the passing of Ray. What a lovely, warm, funny and supportive gentleman. He, Lilah and the entire family raised and loved countless puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Ray will be deeply missed and remembered often.
