Gale, so sorry about the loss of your daddy. I know how much he meant to you. I am here for you. Love you my friend.

Dr. Irons was my mother's obgyn doctor and delivered me. Truly an outstanding doctor.,even though his shift was over, and the delivery had began as a breech birth he and Dr Gilkey helped deliver our son 24 years ago. My family will never forget him. Please accept our deepest sympathies.

Ann Patrick and Family,

Your dad was my OB/GYN doctor and I'm so sorry to learn of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during your time of loss. A life well lived is to be celebrated and I pray that even through your sorrow that you find joy in celebrating a life well lived. May God bless you and keep you in His care...

My thoughts and prayers to Dr Irons and family. Dr Irons was so well loved and will be so missed.

Dr. Irons was the first obgyn doctor I saw, 40 years ago. At the time it was he and Dr. John Saunders. Dr. Irons was not only a great doctor, he had a good sense of humor and knew exactly what to say to you to make you more comfortable. May God bless his spouse, and each member of his family at this difficult time. Robin M. Tyree, St. Augustine, Fl. formally from Madison Heights, Va.

So saddened to hear of Dr. Iron's passing. He was my Dr. & delivered my son Joshua, 27 years ago. He had such a wonderful sense of humor & always took the time to listen & answer any questions that you might have no matter how busy he was. I feel truly blessed to have know him.

My prayers are with Dr. Irons' many friends and family. I was his patient, but also in recent years my husband and I brought our band to Heritage Greene to play bluegrass / gospel for the residents. Dr. Irons attended, and I firmly believe that the Lord was close to him in his final years. Though Dr. Irons did not speak at that time, when we played The Old Rugged Cross I found that he was singing the words to that familiar hymn--completely, correctly, and in tune with the music.
