Not sure what to say?

Some of the best memories of my young life were on the Jorgensen Farm. It was the most basic job, yet one of the most meaningful ones I ever had, since it and Ray taught me how to work and be persistent. Those rows in those fields were so long and it sometimes seemed like they wouldn't end. They always did, and Ray was always up in the seat of the tractor keeping you going with a smile, a joke, some encouragement, and a little sarcasm as the ears of corn kept flowing back to the truck. I have wonderful memories of working on Ray's farm. Ray was my first real employer (as well as my brother's and many of our neighbor's and friend's). We would get up at the crack of dawn, in the summer when all the other kids were sleeping in to pick that corn. It was dirty and wet and sometimes hot;okay, it was farming! The tractor getting stuck in the mud, blisters on our fingers and tons of fun. I doubt there is anything around these days to equal it for young people. Then it was after...

So sorry to hear of Ray's passing. I treasure the good advice he gave me as a dairy farmer. I will always remember the wreaths in the barn windows at Christmas time.
