Not sure what to say?

I remember when I was caught smoking at Jefferson High. It was late on a Friday afternoon. I was sent to Mr. Kessler for my 3 day suspension. (In my mind, I was eagerly anticipating my short vacation.) Mr. Kessler gave me three days alright. He suspended me for the rest of that day "Friday". Then he suspended me for both "Saturday and Sunday". He said "Those are your three days Mr. Sampson". He told me to come back on Monday! :( He was a great man and I am proud to have even known him.

Rip Mr. Kessler. I remember Mr. Kessler as a very kind and caring person. If I was sent to the principals office I knew I would get a fair shake from him. Bob Cooper. Class of 68

Thinking of your family during this difficult time. Prayers are with you! Love and hugs to the family. God bless

So sorry for the loss of Mr. Kessler. He was a great principal, hard but fair. He will be missed. We will keep his family in our prayers. Debbie Sharkus Brown (class of 73) and family

Thinking of you and family at this time. Remember Wittes reunions. To me Ray was always the "cool guy".

Mr. Kessler was a kind gentle spirit. One day while working on the yearbook dedication page for Mr. Rath and Mr. Sakel I was in the middle of quite a mess. He found a typist for me and taught me that is 'if it is worth doing, it is worth doing right'.
I am so thankful to have know him.

My condolences to the family of Raymond Kessler. My mother Angela Meyer was Mr. Kessler`s secretary at Jefferson High School for many years. She started working there about 1956 and retired from Jefferson. I remember one time Mr. Kessler came to our home to do some repairs for us. He was a great person.

I am so sorry to read this of Mr. Kessler's passing. He was a very sweet man and will be missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at the sad time.

As principal, Mr. Kessler taught us to respect the position as well as the man. He had our respect as both; a wonderful role model to impressonable teens.God's peace to the family.
