Raymond S. Krakosky, 90, of Swoyersville, passed peacefully into eternal life surrounded by his family, on Wednesday evening, Sept. 17, 2025, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

His beloved wife is Jean M. Silic Krakosky. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on Aug. 19.

To Jeanie and all of Ray´s family, Please accept my sincere sympathy on your your great loss. Ray was simply the best mailman ever. He always went the extra mile. Ray was my mailman in Shavertown in the 1980s. He was always so nice to the kids in our neighborhood and would stop to chat about what was going on with us or to discuss how the Phillies did in their most recent game. I have always remembered him fondly. My deepest condolences to the family. May he rest in peace.

I worked alongside Ray for many years at the Kingston Post Office both as a carrier and later a manager. He was a great friend and a great worker. I can´t say enough about him. As a carrier, I substituted for Ray and the other carriers on the Shavertown routes. I have fond memories of Ray, Ed Jerry and Bill from my days as a substitute carrier. As a manager, I admired his work ethics. He was always willing to go the extra mile to get the job done. I want to offer my deepest condolences on...
