Not sure what to say?

It's sad to see Ray go. I liked him a lot and remember making small talk with him before and after city council meetings. I remember the day I found a picture of him standing at the Great Wall of China. The next week he brought in the medallion he received there with the picture of him attached to it. Also he was a big fan of television and we always talked about the shows that aired. Ray will definitely be missed and I'll always remember him.

I only knew Ray for the past year, and I am deeply saddened by his passing. Mary L. Midura (Ware, MA)

It was sad to learn of Ray's passing. I always enjoyed visiting him whenever I was in the area. Ray and my father, Leon (Lefty) LaBarge, Ray's cousin, used to swap some great stories about Leeds back in the old days. When I was researching the LaBarge genealogy years ago, Ray was always particularly helpful to me. With Ray's passing, a part of Leeds is gone as well. He will be missed.

My condolences go out to Ray's family and his many friends. I will miss Ray, as he was Leeds at its finest and I would visit him many times on my walks through Leeds, right up until two weeks before his passing, and he would show me pictures of Leeds many, many years ago and tell me all about the historical buildings, what they were used for, etc. His historical stories of Leeds and his younghood will stay with me forever. He was a dear friend and a very devoted Leeds resident.
