Not sure what to say?

Fr. Lavelle was a compassionate confessor. He was easy to be around. he gave me hope just by his presence.

To the family of Father Lavelle,
Father Lavelle was the most wonderful priest that I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He was so helpful when my husband was ill. It just so happened that he was at St. Ann's Hospital visiting patients and ran into me. He asked why I was there and if my husband ever got Baptized. I told him no because of Don's illness we could never make it happen. So, he said we are going upstairs and getting this done now. So my husband was Baptized at St. Ann's...

RIP Father Lavelle, he will be missed as he has been missed since leaving St. Agnes. He is in a better place now with people who he helped. He was a wonderful and caring person. The world was a better place with him in it. RIP

A kind and loving soul. I cherish the time working alongside fr Ray at Mount Carmel St Ann's. His gentle spirit, kind smile humor and wise words have been a blessing. God's peace. Chaplain Jerry

I served Mass many times for Father LaVaelle , both as an adult , and as a teenager , he also was great comfort when my mother passed away. She had looked to him , and converted to being a Catholic , shortly before her death. Father LaVaelle taught Religion at Holy Family High school , which I attended. He was an extraordinary person with a great sense of humor, and this world has lost a good person . RIP Father , we will miss you .

Fr. Lavelle was our first parser when we married and moved to Columbus. He baptized our first child at St. Agnes Church on the west side and ended all his baptisms with, " There's another Catholic on the Hilltop. He was a wonderful councilor too, and a fine priest. He is missed.

Father Lavelle was one of the best and will be missed by many. May you rest in peace.

We rememberFather Lavelle when he was our Priest at St. Matthias. He was a great person and loved hearing his homily. May he rest in peace. Our sincere sympathy to his family.
