LENZ, Raymond W. - Of Lake Fenton, age 90, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral service will be held at 12PM Monday, October 8, 2007 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesys Hospice Care Center of Goodrich. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8PM Sunday at the funeral home. Raymond was born in Norway, Michigan on January 25, 1917, the son of the late Frank and Mary Lenz and was a resident of the Flint area and Fenton all of his life. He married Dorothy McCameron on August 3, 1940 in Flint and she preceded him in death on April 26, 1999. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Fenton Eagles Aerie #2460, Holly Moose Lodge #1168 and UAW Local 651. Mr. Lenz was employed by AC Spark Plug Division as a tool and die maker for 43 years, retiring in 1975. Surviving are his son, Dale and wife Joanne of Lake Fenton; daughter, Cheryl and husband Tim Fisher of Texas; grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Stephanie and Heather; great-grandchildren, Karli, Nicholas, Kourtney and Hailey; sister, Marion Wagner of Grand Blanc; many nieces and nephews.
