Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Londeau. Ray passed away at the Palliative Care Unit in Nanaimo, BC after a heroic battle with cancer.

Ray is survived by his wife Rosanne, their son Brandon, Ray's mother Elaine, brothers Darren (Cheryl), Ken (Elena), Brad (Shauna), in-laws Roy & Lynne Wall, sister-in-law Lisa (Armand), nieces & nephew.

Ray was born in Lethbridge where his love for hockey & his 30 year career with Woolco/WalMart began. He enjoyed camping, fishing, ATVing & hunting as well as coaching his son, Brandon's, hockey team. Ray's outgoing personality and sense of humor made him great to be around.

We would like to thank the Palliative Care Team & volunteers at the PCU in Nanaimo.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Cancer Society or the Red Cross would be appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Departure Bay Baptist Church in Nanaimo, BC on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.

This obituary was originally published in the Nanaimo Daily News and Harbour City Star (Nanaimo, BC).

I worked with Ray at Woolco in Kamloops in the late 1980's. He was truly a great manager, a great friend and a great inspiration. He believed in people and had a special way to inspire and motivate them. I learned a lot from Ray and believe he had a big part in getting me to where I am today. I am sorry and deeply saddened to hear he has passed away. My deepest condolences to Ray's family and friends. Ray was a great man and will be truly missed.

So sad, my deepest condolences to Ray's family and friends. Ray was my cousin we are a year apart in age and in high school we were in the same class..Ray often tormented me by throwing chalk and other bits at the back of my head and amazingly I was the one the teacher sent out in the hall.
