Ray would regularly join us at Coffee&Conversation on Wednesday mornings at St. John's, Duxbury, adding wisdom and insight and humor to the conversation. As his illness progressed, anytime I'd ask how he was doing he'd often respond "the Doc says I can still buy green bananas".

Dear Joan and family most especially Carolyn who I taught at Hatherly School, I have many lovely memories of your dad as my minister at St Luke’s in Scituate. He married my oldest brother and his wife who came in from overseas before shipping out to Vietnam in 1969. He had just buried our mom in 1967. I might add that my sister-in-law always a fashionista was wearing the fashion of the time a wedding mini dress, she looked fabulous. When I saw Ray again in the 2000’s he remembered that couple! And fondly! God Bless Ray he loved everything and everyone in his life it goes without saying.
Going to YPF Gatherings in your family room were memorable too in 1963-64.
Thanks Ray and Joan for the sweet memories! Love to you all and Carolyn the sweetest 2nd grader!

Reverend Low was such a lovely man. I first met him in around 1965 when my nephew was baptized at St.Luke's. I was mesmerized by his accent and his gentle demeanor. When, much later in my life, I went to him for help, he was incredibly kind and understanding. After things got better for me I made sure to go back and thank him. Certainly, I am only one, among many, that he helped.
My sincere condolences to all his family.
