Raymond J. Metz III

I was only 11 and never knew Raymond. For the past few years on the anniversary, I have felt drawn to remembering him since we share a surname. Kin is Kin, albeit distant. Reading the stories below from those who knew you, it is evident you were a devoted Father to your daughters, and I hope to embody that devotion to my daughter, in your honor. From one Metz to another Metz, may you Rest In Peace!

Though I don´t have anything new to say about Ray, I am happy to say all the things I have already said, as I believe they bear repeating, and part of our duty as survivors is to tell the story and retell the story. And though it is the High Holy Days, this brings to mind the crucial question asked at Passover, "Why must we tell this story...again and again?" And living through COVID, where we have lost many more loved ones, we understand that the story of 9/11 and COVID must be told so that...
