Although I did not personally know your Dad and Granddad, I did know his Dad, Walt. While I watched Walt build my parents home in North Baltimore in 1966, he would talk about all things Ray. My Dad was very in Boy Scouts as an adult and he and Walt would talk about my scouting brother and your Dad. I always sort of felt like I knew him from these conversations. Your Dad sounds like an amazing man.
