Raymond Shigeru Oshiro

Ray and the Kalihi YMCA were one of my first employers when I arrived in Honolulu in the mid 1960s in the Detached Worker Program when I worked at KPT and Farrington HS with young local kids. Peter Endo, now also deceased was part of our team. Ray was kind and enormously helpful as this young haole boy from Boston learned how to work with a lot of disadvantaged kids as they made their way through school and employment opportunities.
