Raymond E. Palmer, Sr. 81, died August 25, 2005, after a lengthy illness. He was born September 23, 1923 in Leslie, Arkansas to Anthony and Okla Palmer. A Veteran of WW II, he served in the U.S. Navy- four years as a pilot. After graduating from Arkansas Tech, he attended Golden Gate Seminary where he obtained a Master of Divinity. He pastured several churches in Arkansas before retiring from Ozone Baptist Church. He attended Bakers Creek Baptist Church where he had previously pastured and was still a member at the time of his death.

He loved his family and they were his greatest pleasure. They include his wife of 56 years Jean; two sons Ray & wife Vickie, John & wife Abbie; a daughter, Jan & husband Mark; grandchildren, Blake, Mollie, Sarah, Mindy, & Brandon & wife Robyn; great grandchildren Mallory & Macy.

Memorial service will be at 2:30p.m. Sunday, August 28, at Baker’s Creek Baptist Church in Russellville.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Dardanelle Nursing Center for their loving, devoted care. Words cannot express their heartfelt gratitude.
