Not sure what to say?

To the Plumer family -
I first met Ray when he came to work for Garnett Auto Supply/Jobbers Automotive Warehouse in the mid-sixties. With his genuine friendly manner and jovial laugh,I liked him from the first handshake. He was without a doubt a man of multiple talents and he did a great job of wearing several hats over the years until he retired from Jobbers. I can well recall visits with Ray when he talked about his family in a manner that showed what a proud and caring family man he...

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time..

My father was a kind man who never had to raise his voice to me even though, many times I deserved, at minimum, a good tongue lashing. I was too young to remember the times when my father was in sales traveling around the state of Kansas. One story my mother and sisters told me years later was about my father returning home from several day on the road. I spotted his car coming down our street and in my excitement to see him ran in to the street to greet him. I did not see a car coming...

One of the fondest memories for me was crawling onto Dad’s lap so he would scratch my back. We would watch TV and he would scratch for hours. I did this even after I outgrew his lap and probably made his legs fall asleep but he never complained. He just scratched.

My Dad was the kindest man I have ever known. My friends loved him and always said how funny and sweet he was. One of my friends, also my roommate for a while, thought he looked just like Ed McMahon. When Dad would...

Years ago, Mike took me to the house on Wilma to “meet the parents.” It was nothing like the popular movie with the inquisition and hidden cameras. I was welcomed with open arms into the Plumer family.
Ray was always generous and loving, accepting my two daughters, Mary and Abby, as an added bonus to the family.
When I went to nursing school, Ray was always interested in my studies. He would watch little Jordan sometimes when I was in class, and he would always have me share my...

My earliest memories of my Grandpa start when I was about 2 or 3, but my parents tell me he was at the hospital right after I was born and held me, wearing a huge smile on his face.

One of my fondest memories of him is when he would take care of me while my Mom was in nursing school. We would play with my Ninja Turtles, watch TV, and play board games from the basement. One of my favorite games was the Smurfs game, and we played it every day. I would ask him to play Twister with...

He will be loved and missed by all here at Sandpiper Bay. Thank you for bring him to us so that we could have the oppertunity to get to know and love him. He will always be remembered.

Raymond brought much enjoyment to my parents when he stopped to spend the night with them when he was traveling. It was a good time for the three of them to get acquainted.
