Not sure what to say?

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. So sorry for your loss.

I wanted to extend my condolences to the Portas Family. I read this obituary today at work and feel terrible that I did not know sooner to attend the wake.

Mr. and Mrs. Portas were a wonderful part of the tradition of "family" in Jersey City. Their faith and strength were always so admirable to all of the people of the OLM parish.

Mr. Portas will always hold a special place in my heart for his kindness towards me after John passed in the early 80's.

I wish...

The LORD is your keeper;
The LORD is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.

Rest in peace Great Uncle Raymond
love,
Angela

A light to light your way...everlasting

Lay, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was,
let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was; there is unbroken continuity, peace be with you Great Uncle Raymond, you shall be missed on this earth.
Much Love, Angela, Benjamin, and great-great niece Sydney.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Marilyn Sarnatora & Staff

Uncle Raymond was always great for an old fashioned Portugese hello and welcome to my house. It is one of my fondest memories of him. Our family members in heaven are growing. So even though we are sad here on earth because of our loss, it is truly a time of joy.
We will remember our Uncle Raymond in our prayers and send our love and condolences to all of our cousins. Dianne and Jacqueline

We pray the love of God enfolds you during your journey through grief, and we send our prayers and thoughts of love for our Uncle Raymond and to you, his family.
