Raymond Porzio Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 14, 2017.
Raymond J. Porzio entered into his eternal reward on December 13th, with his loving wife Mary at his side, as she always was. He was full of life until he breathed his last breath. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and Pop-Pop, who had a quiet, but personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He was the biggest NY Yankee Fan and the most organized person that this world has ever known! Prior to his retirement, Ray had an outstanding career with AT&T, where he was an avid softball team member. He is already dearly missed, but we all look forward to the day we will see him again in eternal peace.

I will miss my step dad terribly. I will always appreciate how deeply he loved my mom, and how he loved my brothers and me as his own. He loved all of his grandkids, including my foster children, so much, and it was obvious in the way he treated them.
When I became widowed earlier this year, he taught me how to move forward from the sadness. He didn't really need to say it in words, because he showed me how to do it by the way he lived.
I love you, Dad!

So sorry to hear this news. My heart breaks for his children and grandchildren, especially at this time of year. I have many fond memories of Ray. He always had interesting stories. Ray was a kind and generous man who will be missed.
May he now rest in peace. God Bless!

Ray, in addition to your sweet, kind, generous, mischievous smile and warm bear hugs I will remember forever unpacking your carefully numbered pieces of styrofoam surrounding Rich's electric griddle. Thanks to you I always know how to pack it back up again just right. Love you, Jenn, Katie and Lizzie
