Not sure what to say?

Deeply saddened to learn of Ray's passing. I have the most fond memories thanks to him. We met at the local craft store he often visited where I worked. Amazingly, we found we had kindred souls and shared the passion of painting old houses. He and I even traded photos and did paintings for each other....the one he did for me is framed and still hangs on my wall. I cherish it everyday, and it somehow means even more to me now. My condolences to his loved ones, as he was a true gentleman and a...

So sad to hear of my great-uncle's passing. I only met him a couple of times in my life time when with my grandmother, Margaret, his sister. He was a dear man. I am very lucky to have a few of his paintings on my wall in his memory that were passed down to me by my grandmother. Her home was covered in his beautiful artwork. She was so proud of her brother! Rest in peace dear uncle. Say hi to Dad (Robert Wetherell), Grandma (Margaret) and Grandpa (Lester)...
In peace,

We are so sorry to hear about Ray's passing. Ray was such a dear friend to our Mother, Kathryn Nelson. They spent many happy times together and she sorely missed leaving her friend when she moved to AZ. Ray continued to write her regularily and it was always such a day brightner when his letters arrived. What a kind, talented man.
Our condolences to your family.

We are sorry for your loss, we knew Ray from visting our son Rick & his wife Marissa, his next door neighbors. We always enjoyed talking to Ray and looking at his painting's,He had a lot & seemed to enjoy doing them. He was a very nice person with a lot of good interesting stories, We feel it was a joy to get to know him.

We enjoyed Ray very much every time he came up to our lake on Portage Lake. Enjoyed having coffee with him and listening to his BIG fish stories. Will miss seeing him in his little boat on the lake.
