Simone, Marc, Alex and Family, I only have fond memories of Ray as I know is true for all of you! So very fortunate to have known him in my life. May the wonderful memories that you have and share with each other, sustain now with his passing and throughout the coming years!

Our condolences to the entire Saidel Family from the Guimond Family, Ray, his father and sons and Simone were very special to our mom & dad (Sam & Anita). Dad worked for the Merrimack St Garage for 30+ years and was always treated with love & respect by the entire Saidel Family. I even had the opportunity to work as a detailer at the garage during military leaves. Thank you all for all you have done for our family. May Ray rest in peace.

Beyond being a decorated veteran of our greatest generation or having lived a life of 184 years in less than 92, he was a friend to all of us; and to me a true and rare example of what humility and a gentleman is. Mr. Saidel (Ray to most of us); you will be very much missed and will always be thought of in your stories, your shared drawings and books, and of course in your beloved sailing vessel, Shir Hayam. Godspeed over that horizon.
