I want to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to the entire Simon family on the passing of Mr. Raymond Simon. As creator of the"Hope for Ignatius" benefit with Bob Hope, Dyan Cannon, and Andy Williams at the Auditorium Theater on December 18, 1976, I was very pleased to know it was one of the highlights of his life to draw up the contract and do business personally with Bob Hope on behalf of St. Ignatius College Prep for a successful inaugural concert for the annual benefit series. Ray for a blessing for so many, personally, through the Foundation, for works of mercy. When I was Head of Josephinum in the 90's I felt lifted up in his work and while they may not know his name so many young women of Chicago have been blessed in his work and the City of Chicago has been blessed in his concerns for so many of the marginalized.
