I did not meet Ray until we were freshmen at Rockridge. Through our high school years, we developed a friendship which extended through our years (perhaps only one or two) at Augustana and beyond. In the years which followed our contacts were less frequent - a visit to see baby Jenny, high school reunions, and seeing Ray in his role as the contact person for the Mid American Energy office building built on top of the parking ramp for which I had been project manager.
