Not sure what to say?

Paw Paw...what's there to say...long North Carolina roadtrips in the green conversion van to Buggs Island, the haunted house, comic books and yard sales, buttermilk and Jack Purcells, trains around the Christmas tree and Santa Claus visits, I spent a lifetime with you laughing, singing, all in love. I love you, my kids love you, and you would love to see them all now, even the newest ones...each of them have a spark of you in them... I have all of our memories tucked safely away in a special...

I remember when you would grow peppers in your garden around the side of your house and you would always save me some because you knew they were my favorite. I miss you tons and every time I go to a yard sale and haggle for a sale I think of you! I miss you Paw Paw but I am glad you are with Mee-Maw now. Love always, Your favorite granddaughter ;)

Still miss Mom and you every day. Her giving spirit like yours, and your humor that could make anyone laugh on a bad day. Your love of singing and dancing made us all smile and many even join in. The family has grown since we lost you and the sad part is the new members wont get to experience the amazing fun loving spirit that you were, but we teach them who Mee Maw and Paw Paw were, and one day we will all meet again.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

Love & Miss you more each day Dad.

Daddy, I will always remember being your litle girl. I will never forget when Mom told me she cried when I was born because she thought you wanted a boy first, but she said you just smiled ear to ear and said "that's alright she's a redhead and she looks just like me"! I will remember all the singing together, Sunday's after choir at Gino's, yard sales, etc.
I miss you very day, and always will!
Love you forever,
Sharon

I will always remember him as "Uncle Boo"! I don't know where that title came from, but it's what was always used down at Buggs Island Lake when we'd visit my grandparents, Walter & Thelma (Vaughn) Messer. My condolences to the larger family.

I am so sorry for your loss! I've been crying every day since. He was like a father to me after dad died. I will miss him dearly but I know he is in a better place and is with Aunt Mary, Gma & Gpa smiling down on us all.

To the Vaughn family, our deepest sympathy. It was a very long road. Slim is now at peace and in time you too will be. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Pete, Chris and Pete.
