Raymond Hoge Vest

Raymond Hoge Vest, 76, of the White Gate Community, Pearisburg, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Carilion Giles Community Hospital, Pearisburg. He was born June 30, 1933, at White Gate, Va. the son of the late Robert Covington and Blanche Lewey Vest. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne P. Vest and Donald L. Vest; a sister, Margaret L. Vest. Raymond worked for Vest & Wright Construction Company for many years and loved working with wood. He was also a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Rosabella Cregar Vest; one brother, Herbert C. Vest and wife, Carol, of White Gate; one aunt, several cousins and many friends including his special friends Mr. and Mrs. Doug Potter. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate with the Rev. Charlie Henderson officiating. Burial in the Stinson Cemetery, White Gate. Visitation will be Friday, June 4, 2010, after 2 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
