Raymond Vickrey

Pastor Vickrey married us in RLBC in April of 1996. We left the church sometime later. In God´s providence, we happened to drive by the church on day and we found out he was going to retire the following Sunday. We attended and wished him well. He was a very nice man. God bless him and his family.

Ray was a great Uncle, we were so blessed by his presence, kindness and wisdom. Our thoughts are with everyone that knew and loved him.

Absolutely one of the sweetest and funniest men I ever knew. Loved traveling with him, Larry, and my dad Riley Eubank, in Ireland a few years ago. Lovely, lovely man.

Dear Sharon,
I am so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. He was a wonderful influence at Seventh and James while I was there. He is in Heaven now, praising our Savior, and we are here, praising our Savior. Remember, the only things that separate us are time and space.
I will be praying for your comfort and peace in the days ahead.

Ray was kind, wise, supportive, and talented. He was my pastor at Royal Lane for the majority of my life, and to this day I consider him my moral exemplar. My heart breaks knowing he is no longer with us. I’m sending love and prayers to the entire Vickery family.
