Dear Dad,
Yesterday marked three months since you went to a better place. I miss you so much! I miss your funny names for things, how you kept me up on current events, and doing the crossword puzzles with you! The day before yesterday, Ron, Bob and I visited your grave at Fort Snelling. We decorated it with the American flag, silk flowers that read DAD, and placed your dog tags on top of the headstone. Ron and Bob took pictures. I just want you to know how important you are and always...

I've never had a greater gift bestowed upon me than getting to know you.I will always remember and cherish spending Super Bowl Sunday watching the game with you. I placed a note in your sportcoat pocket--you know what it said. Because of my grief,I forgot to write one very important thing: A special thank you for taking care of our Mom. You did a wonderful job even though you were under a lot of stress for so long. Mom was in good hands with you watching over her. Dad,you will always be THE BEST!
