Not sure what to say?

Ray was the best neighbors anyone could have. We lived a couple miles from him but he passed by frequently. We knew him for 20+ years. He (and Shadow) would stop by to visit and bring us tomatoes from his garden. He was such a kind man. We always enjoyed his company. We were so shocked and saddened to hear of his passing 2-3 months after. We miss him. Condolences to the family and may he rest in peace.

I was a few years younger than Ray and was raised in the Yuba Sutter area and I loved baseball. I went to many of his games when he played with the Yuba-Sutter Rebels. Was so excited for him when he played with the Cleveland Indians. So sorry to learn of his passing...

What a wonderful gentleman. I played ball with Ray on the Marysville Giants. He was so nice to us younger players, helped us and gave outstanding advice. Just a couple of years ago I called him and ask him to write a letter to my grandson, who loves baseball and the Red Sox.
Ray sent a wonderful letter along with pictures, cards and a bat. He made a young mans Christmas special. He will be missed especially by so many of his old friends.

I remember Ray well from encounters on the ball field in high school. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.
