Read MoreAs sister to Clare Soponis, my husband Maury and I got to know Ray Wicker very well. He was like part of the family spending Christmas and other holidays with the Soponis Clan. Ray was a wonderful storyteller and interesting friend. He also had a strong faith and read the Bible cover to cover many times . He will be missed. Irene Robb

Ray and I never served together, but were good friends becoming moreso in RAJA were Ray and Clare were wonderful companians. Ray,never at loss for words, but always upbeat was great to be around. Good by Senator.

I was sorry to learn about the death of Ray Wicker whom I knew through his friend, Clare Soponis. He was always cheerful filling everyone with his numerous stories. He will be missed.
