Not sure what to say?

I took Dr. Wyatt´s plant taxonomy class in 1990. This turned out to be my favorite class at Wake, and I loved the weekly field trips as well as the trips to the beach and mountains. I always look for the flowers of ginger in the spring, and remember Dr. Wyatt´s eyes twinkling when he pulled aside the leaves to reveal the charming flower.

Dr. R. L. Wyatt was a superb teacher. He taught me the skills to become botanically aware and served as my thesis advisor, 1974. Dr. Wyatt along with Dr. Walter Flory provided the foundation for my professorship at High Point University, 1988-2015.

Dr Wyatt was a neighbor of my family and friends. He was very helpful to my brother who had a strong interest in plants. He was a part of the strong Wake Forest community and much admired by my family.

Dr. Wyatt was my freshman advisor at Wake Forest in 1961. A quiet, thoughtful man and a very kind one.

I did Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt´s income taxes for many years. I always enjoyed seeing and talking to them. My sympathy to your family. Sharon Bartz
