Not sure what to say?

It's probably been over 50 years since I last heard the name Yakupzak, but I remember sitting in their house and thinking "wow this guy is smart" when he would talk to me. My condolences to Mrs. Edwena, Paul, Laura, and families.

Mrs. Edwina, he was always so sweet to me when I saw him. A wonderful man with a truly kind heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May he rest in peace with the Lord.

My deepest sympathy to your family. I was a student of his at Nicholls in the late 70's. He was a great man with a great sense of humor. He constantly teased me that my shoulder length hair kept getting shorter the closer I got to graduation. He reminded me of so much of my father who was also in the Navy. RIP my friend and I'll see you in heaven.

I was a student of his at Nicholls. He was one-of-a-kind. Funny guy and excellent teacher. He had many sayings and called everyone "dad" at the time. I personally heard him refer to the "big one" many times. I'll never forget him or his mannerisms.

My deepest sympathy to Ray's family. I have fond memories of him as a fellow faculty member at Nicholls. May he rest in peace.

Love and prayers for Edwina and family! RIP Mr Yak!

Dear Edwina,
How I loved Mr. Yak...his stories, his timing in his stories, and his quirky sense of humor! I love you both and will keep you in my prayers. I will never forget the "neighbor" years and the theatre experiences! Love and hugs to you, Vikki

Paul, So very sorry to hear your loss. You and your family are in my prayers. Say hello to Jan. John Belanger

I was a student of his at Nicholls State University. A very unforgettable professor and person. I am so sorry to hear that he has passed. He will be missed.
