Spinelli - Ricciuti Funeral Home - Ansonia Obituary

DERBY: Rayna Faye Kross, age 41, of Derby, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2020 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the beloved wife of Garrett J. Kross.

Rayna was born in Derby on July 26, 1978, beloved daughter of Debra Cody Hawks of Ansonia and the late Thomas Hawks. She was employed as a medical assistant at Milford Pediatric Associates in Milford for twelve years. Rayna was a kind, caring and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to many.

She lived her life selflessly, with a strong passion for her family and friends, taking care of children and making everyone feel loved around her. She enjoyed spending her free time either making new recipes, painting or doing crafts with her family.

In addition to her husband Garrett and mother, Debra, she leaves to cherish her memory, son, Jonathan Kross, daughters, Casey Kross and Kailyn Kross, sister Brandy Yezik and her husband Anthony, in-laws, Laura and Sam Badamo, Rick Kross and Nancy Dimeola, brothers and sisters-in-law, Korey and Koren Kross, Christopher Badamo and Molly Anderson and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Sadly, due to the current pandemic, a private visitation and funeral service will be held for family and close friends. Rayna requested to be cremated and will be put to rest with her late father Thomas Hawks and grandparents. The family sends a heart-felt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Yale New Haven Hospital, Griffin Hospital and most recently CT Hospice, who helped her through this disease. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with the future education of Rayna’s children. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia has been privileged with the arrangements. To sign Rayna’s guestbook or share a memory, please visit www.spinelliricciutifh.com.
