R. C. Brewer, 78, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died Saturday, October 16, 2010, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Mississippi. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Iuka, and was also a member of the Burnsville Lodge #233 F & AM. He retired from Reynolds Metals after 25 years where he worked as a machinist. He was also a farmer, and enjoyed his horses and wagons. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, October 17, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 18, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. William Lambert and Bro. Ken Garner. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jerry Wright, Larry Freeman, Donnie Bobo, Sammy Thorne, Bro. James Emery, and E. J. Adams. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Louise Brewer of Burnsville, MS; 2 sons, Robert Brewer and wife, Debra, of Burnsville, MS, and Ralph Wayne Brewer of Vancouver, WA; 2 daughters, Becky Freeman and husband, Gary, of Burnsville, MS, and Dianne Wright and husband, Frankie, of Iuka, MS; 1 step-daughter, Jennifer Shadburn of Corinth, MS; 5 grandchildren, Barney Wright of Jackson, MS, Rodney Wright of Burnsville, MS, Tina Roberts of Tupelo, MS, Cindy Tynan of Olive Branch, MS, and Hayley Freeman of Burnsville, MS; 4 step-grandchildren, Curtis Glidewell of Jackson, MS, Jake Glidewell of Starkville, MS, Briley Shadburn of Corinth, MS, and Easton Shadburn of Corinth, MS; and 3 great-grandchildren, Victoria Brigley, Ellie Tynan, and Madison Gregory. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bennie Gamble Brewer; and his parents, W. L. and Lula Brewer. Memorial contributions may be made to the Antioch Cemetery Fund.
