REAMY COQUAT

1922 - 2015

Reamy E. Coquat, 93, joined her Lord Jesus Christ on March 26, 2015. She was born to Lucian Augustus Coquat and Edna Mae Weatherford in Bayard, New Mexico on January 28, 1922. While visiting family in Austin, Texas, Reamy met and married Charles Albert Barnes Jr., of Mercedes, Texas who then served as a Navy Seabee in WWII in the Pacific. She is survived by her daughters; Valerie Lynn Davis (Rives), Pamela Kay Farmer (Ralph), and Cousin Charline Norman (Steve). Grandchildren; Tammy Lynn Johnson (Frank) of Holliday, Texas, Troy Lee Davis (April) of Boerne, Texas, and Frank Matthew Owen, V (Georgia) of Pearland, Texas. Great-Grandchildren; Justin Curtis, Jacob Cole, Jett Chase, Jaxsen Colt Johnson, Samuel Zane, Brett Shane Davis, William Parker, Charles Weston and John Marshall Owen. Reamy was devoted to her church and its mission activities. Reamy and Charles were recognized for their 50-Year membership at First Baptist Church and after Charles' death in 2004, she became a member of Coronado Baptist. She retired as a Legal Clerk for The School Brigade, Fort Bliss. A Visitation will be held on Thursday April 2, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with the Funeral Service to begin at 1:00 PM at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Funeral Home, 8817 Dyer Street. The Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson. Pastor Mike Woods will officiate. Special thanks to CIMA Hospice, Dr. Aboud, Dr. Portillo and Dr. Komengari who helped her to live a long and productive life.
