I am very sorry for your loss. I felt fortunate to get to spend some time with Bess when she was living in Baltimore. Her accomplishments in her short life were amazing, and it is sad her family, friends and the world did not get to see her live out a full life and watch what she would have accomplished.

In her interview for the nurse manager position at Mount Sinai, Rebecca told me that she she did not see herself in an office making policy. She wanted to be on the frontlines of healthcare making a positive difference for patients. Of course, I hired her on the spot. Rebecca she did what she said and more every single day.
