Mr. Broughton, Something happened to the entry I made. I just wanted to epress my sincere sympathy on Mrs. Broughtons passing. To say the least it was a terrible shock to hear of it! Dad called me from Ohio to let me know.You & Bo will be very close in my thoughts!

Dear Kirby,
Theron and I were so very sorry to learn of Becky's death on our recent trip to Kershaw. Pat and Robert shared your letter with all of us gathered at Jesse and Denise's Monday evening. It sounds like all of you have had a long and hard battle and our hearts go out to all of the family.

It brings tears to my eyes to know that Mrs. Broughton is no longer with us. I will always remember her as my beautiful (yet tough) 6th grade teacher. Please know that our thoughts are with you during this time of sorrow. She was an insipiration to many and leaves behind a legacy of memories.....

Mrs. Broughton was one of my all time favorite teachers. She was so kind and so beautiful. She was one of my inspirations to become a teacher, myself. I saw her at the grocery store and the club often. She always went out of her way to speak to me and talk to others of how proud of me she was. She continued to encourage her students as adults. This is one classy lady that will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
