REBECCA P. MOORE (nee Perkins) passed away peacefully at the age of 95 at 8:40 pm on Sunday, February 15, 2015, after a very short illness. She went gently, as if to sleep, with no pain or discomfort and with family holding her hands. She was independent and curious up to the end. A lifelong...

Not sure what to say?

Hi Rosie and family, I was thinking about your mom this morning, and realize it's been almost a year since she passed away. I'll miss her, but I'm glad that late in life, our moms got together regularly at Judson. There I often saw them both; your mom frequently greeting us at the front door when we arrived. They'll both be forever in my memories. Much love, John

I had Mrs Moore for elementary music in the 70's in Streetsboro. For an 'older' teacher (remember, I was little!) she had an energy and enthusiasm for teaching little ones to sing, play on recorders and drums and to love music. I have always remembered her and Mrs. Fussner fondly from my years at Streetsboro. God bless her and may God give comfort and peace to her family.

Roland, Rosie, and Ruth -- It was a pleasure to know your parents and sing in the choir with them at Kent UCC. We even drove (two cars) with them to the World's Fair in Knowville TN. You can be proud of their legacy of enthusiasm, education, and thirst for music and travel! The world is better for their having been here, and we know you three will continue similar lives of equal integrity.

Rosie, I'm glad I got to meet your Mom again this Christmas. She is a very interesting lady. May she rest in peace.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends and all who Mrs. Moore touched during her life. She was my music teacher at Campus Elementary in Streetsboro back in the early 70's, before I moved to Arizona. RIP Mrs. Moore.

Roland, Rosie, and Ruth. I will always remember your parents. Working with your mom was a joy, and having your dad as a guest conductor was great. You three were some of my favorite students. Your parents were amazing people, and I loved your dads wit and humor. It was a blessing knowing your family. Thank you to all of the Moore family for being who you are. Good people, Great life. Ken Granville, Streetsboro City Schools retired.

Blessings to all of you -- Roland, Rosie, and Ruth -- your mom and dad were so helpful to me while I attended Kent State in the late 80's. Fond memories of the Streetsboro house visits as well as a kid. Thanks for sharing Great Aunt Becky's rich history of her life!

Rosie - what an interesting life your mother led! It is plain to see that you take after her very much - independent, adventurous, and intelligent. I hope you are well, and the same for your siblings. Looking forward to talking with you when the opportunity presents itself. See you later my friend - Terry

Rebecca is an example of a good life well lived.
