Steve,
I was saddened to learn of your great loss. How well I remember your wedding 40 years ago -- my dad shared the officiant privilege with another pastor. Becky was a beautiful bride and wonderful person. I fondly remember chatting with her on our way to work in downtown Portland on those old yellow buses. Much has transpired since those days; we were both blessed with wonderful marriages and daughters.
I know this is a very difficult time. My prayer is that...

One memory of Becky that I think exemplifies her generous heart, is from several years ago when 5 of us shared an office on the 6th floor of the US Tower building in downtown Portland. There was a fountain down below us that had bushes around it. Becky had noticed a homeless person frequenting the bushes... and she started leaving bags with empty cans for him. That then changed to lunch bags with cookies or muffins etc. We would watch for him and as soon as any of us saw him coming, we...

Steve and Girls,
Joe and I are so sorry to hear about Becky. She was so much fun and so kind to all of us at Alcoa. The memories that you share with the girls will keep her alive in your hearts.

To Amanda,
I came across your Mom's death notice and just wanted to take a minute to tell you how sorry I am.
My Mom just passed away too. My Mom was 55 and lost her battle with cancer. Like your parents, mine also had been married for 40 years.
I am so, so sorry.
You, your sister, and your Dad are in my prayers.
My Dad, my sister's and I know all too well the heartache you are feeling.
Sincerely,
Shelley (Arant) Tochtrop

Steve and Family, I am so full of sorrow with having lost one of my dearest friends who brought so much sweet inspiration to my life. Some of my earliest memories go way back to Sunday as youngsters, and then through, school, campfire, marriage, families and our 50th birthday trip to Kauai. I have learned so much from Bec, in having known her and experienced her loving guidance. I will miss her terribly, but I know that she in in the loving arms of Jesus now. She put up a gallant fight...

My deepest sympathy to you and your family, Steve, on the passing of Becky. We were in the same HS class at CRHS. I wish I had known her better. From others' postings, I know she was a very special woman, and her passing has left a vacuum in the lives of those who loved her and held her dear. May the peace and grace of God give you comfort in the coming days. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
