Reece Lewis Jr. 76, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House on January 24, 2026. Reece was born in Tyronza, Arkansas on March 11, 1949, to the late Louvenia and Reece Lewis Sr.


In addition to his parents, Reece is preceded in death by one brother, three nephews one niece.


Reece accepted Christ at an early age. He was also a very skilled man at a very young age. He stated working farming at an early age be exact. But as an adult he started working in a factory and at Trailmobile , and Great Dane. He often repaired cars, mowers and saws. After his health started with issues, he started enjoying outdoor fishing and enjoyed watching the birds outside. Family was very importance to him.


He leaves to cherish his memories three sons Robert Lee Lewis, Gary Lewis both of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Maurice Lewis of Corning, Arkansas, three daughters Louvena Jackson, JoAnne Lewis of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Sarah May Lewis of Flat Rock, Michigan, three sisters Lee Ellar Ward of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Melva Jean Lewis, Kelly Marie Taylor both of Jonesboro, Arkansas, three brothers Sammy Lewis, Jerry (Elizabeth) Lewis both of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Joseph (Debora) Lewis of King Mountain, North Carolina, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

I want to express my heartfelt condolences to my Arkansas family in the loss of Reece. He was my Uncle through marriage. His children(my cousins) LOVED him dearly. From the stories told he was a great man, a man that worked hard and enjoyed time with his family when the time was allowed. I know my cousin Lou LOVED him so much and he was her SUPERMAN!
