Reed H. Clavette, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 1, 2024. Born on August 31, 1936 in Madawaska, Maine. He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Rita, of 63 years. He also leaves behind his three daughters, Mona and her husband, Dana Hewey, Lisa and her husband, Jim Deschenes, Gail and her husband, Ronald Gay. He also leaves five grandchildren Danielle, Christina, Robert, Deanna and Ryan, six beautiful great grandchildren Grady Kyla, Kendyl, Lucas, Everly and Ethan.
Reed was devoted to his wife and family. He loved to take walks, trips to area casinos and bingo. Reed fought a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 directly in St. Marianne Cope Parish, 150 South Main St. East Windsor. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Family and friends are invited to the BROOKLAWN Funeral Home, 511 Brook St. Rocky Hill on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 5-7p.m. The family would like to express their gratitude to all the nurses and caregivers at both Fresh River nursing home and beacon hospice for taking such good care of him against this horrible disease of Alzheimer’s. Donations in Reed’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association: alz.org
