Not sure what to say?

She was Regina Hurst in 1963, my English teacher. She told us Kennedy was dead, as the principal had the radio news on over the intercom. She took us to downtown Dallas to see a Shakespeare play and forgot there was a "house of ill repute" in the story line (). She signed my yearbook "Regina," which surprised and elated me that she would consider me a grownup. In my school days, I had two favorite teachers of all of them, and she was one. Now I am 75 and remember her so well.

I will always cherish the memory of this lovely lady. Christmas sing-a-longs, her special friendship with my mother, and playing at my wedding are favorites! She was loved and will be missed by many!

Our neighbor for 40 years, she will be dearly missed. They don't make neighbors like that anymore. Our prayers and deepest condolences to the family.

Mrs. Story was not only a fantastic English teacher, but just an all-around bubbly, wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

After drill team practice that day, I asked her if I could say the poem to her. I didn't expect a grade. I just didn't want to disappoint her. I said the poem to...

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
