COOLEY, Reginald Olando, 54, of Goochland County, departed this life on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. He was the son of the late Mary M. and James B. Cooley. Reginald is survived by his wife, Monica Candies-Cooley; stepson, Joshua S. Moreno; three sisters-in-law, Anita C. Candies, Hazel L. Candies and Nicole Candies, all of New Jersey; a brother-in-law, Leon Candies of New Jersey; two sisters, Jane Delores J. Allen Bowles (James H. Bowles Sr.) and Cynthia G. Cooley; one brother, Calvin J. Cooley (Irene); mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred and Joyce C. Hawthorne; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives; and friends, including devoted friend of Monica and Reginald Cooley, Elane Brooks of Goochland County. Reginald accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior at Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church, along with his wife, Monica. A funeral will be held at Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3700 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, at 12 noon on Friday, December 31, 2010, their wedding anniversary and Reginald's O. Cooley's birthday. Viewing at the church will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Friday. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to help defray funeral expenses. Contributions may be directed to Angelus Funeral & Cremation Traditions, 3009 Lafayette Ave., Richmond, Va. 23228.

My heart goes out to you. Reggie was my sister's age (Debbie Bradshaw)and I'm sure they knew each other from Goochland High, but I knew his cousin James Fonz Cooley well since we were the same age and in the same grade. My prayers are with you all.
