Reginald 'Zay' Phillips ATLANTA, Ga. -- Reginald Xavier "Zay" Phillips entered eternal rest Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in Atlanta, GA. He was a native of Greenwood, SC, though he was born at Fort Riley Military Hospital in Junction City, KS. He is the son of Marion and Regina Williams of Greenwood, SC. Zay was a 2010 graduate of Greenwood High School, after finishing early in the January mid-year exercises. He played the snare drum and was a featured artist with drawings displayed at the Greenwood Art Gallery. He also excelled in the High Jump event in Track and Field at Greenwood High School, reaching the Region I, AAAA championship competition. After high school, he furthered his studies at the The Art Institute of Atlanta, GA. He was a candidate for his bachelor's degree in Audio Technology/Management, scheduled to graduate this fall semester. Zay was baptized at an early age at Morris Chapel Baptist Church, where he also professed Christ his savior. He was an active member until he moved to further his education. In addition to his parents, he leaves his lasting legacy to: brothers, Chad Phillips of Augusta, GA, and Eric Williams of Greer, SC; grandparents: Polly Brown of Greenwood, SC, and the late Douglas Brown of Detroit, MI; Willie Mae Williams of Greenwood, SC, and the late Frank Williams, Sr. of Greenwood, SC; Janie Marie Lee of Visalia, CA; devoted aunt and uncle, James and Kendra Wilson of Cokesbury, SC, and a loving cousin, Kimberly Wilson, also of Cokesbury, SC; a loving great-aunt, Bertha M. Brown of Greenwood, SC; he also leaves to cherish his lasting legacy to Shone DeLarge of Visalia, CA; one brother and two sisters, also of Visalia, CA; and many other relatives and friends. His professional career included but was not limited to being the Owner and CEO of Munny Hungrie Entertainment. Known in the music industry as Yeungnfly, he had written, produced and performed with various artists from across the nation throughout his career. His contribution and love for music will forever be enjoyed through many productions to name a few: on Datpiff, Instagram, Youtube and his most prized work was his latest released mixtapes "Fortune Over Fame" (released June 5, 2015) and "Trapped Thoughts" (released July 17, 2015). A Celebration of Life Service of Zay will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Morris Chapel Baptist Church, 530 Baptist Ave of Greenwood, SC. The body will lie in state from 12-1 p.m. Bishop Dr. Oliver T. McCray will officiate, with services of commendation to follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Casket Bearers: Frank Williams, Jr., John Oliver, Paul Morton, Jr., James Wilson, III, Brandon Ward and Tori Griffin. Honorary Casket Bearers: Lavone Day, Desteny Miller, Robert Foster, III, Quintavis Aiken, Stankevious Rollison, Andre Day, Markus Shearad, and Desmond Pinkett. Flower Bearers: Andrea Wideman, Kaeliegh Rappley, Vacynthia Franklin, Cousins and Friends. The family is at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion and Regina Williams, 102 Rock Knoll Drive Unit B-5. Sacred arrangements entrusted to First Family Funeral Home-Greenwood Chapel.
