Not sure what to say?

I didn't know Professor Nibley taught at Michigan State, but I do know he taught at The University of Michigan School of Music in Ann Arbor, where I studied with him. He was a wonderful teacher.

I took a piano class from him. The rest of the students in the class were piano majors. My major instrument was violin. I needed an accompanist for my senior recital and found one in the class, a very nice lady named Marilyn Bollard. She was a concert pianist and made me sound very good at my senior recital.

I knew three of the Nibley brothers, Richard, Hugh and Reid. What a great family.

Nibley Family
We send our sincere condolences to Nona, and all of Reid's children at the passing of a wonderful friend. Reid shared his musical talent and his love of the Savior with all of us so generously. Our thoughts of his piano playing and his love of music and of great composers will live in our memories forever.
Thanks to his great children for sharing your father with us. We remember your mom fondly.
Nona, you shared your life with Reid in a loving way.

Like many that have signed here I also served with this amazing man in Montreal, Canada. He was an inspiration to everyone that knew him. He loved life and had a talent of showing that in his actions. He will be missed.

Dear Nona, We express our sincere sympathy to you. You have such a special spirit, one that truly complimented Reid's.

We are grateful that we were able be with you and Reid and feel of your spirit in the Holy Land.

Heavenly Father will bless and guide you, dear Nona.

With love, Patricia and Steven

To Reid's Family- I never really knew him, but my father ,Reid Sloan, a cousin, always spoke highly of him. I have some CD's of his beautiful piano music. His picture definitely resembles my father. Sincerely, Jacque Sloan Frei

I had the amazing opportunity to serve with Elder Nibley in Montréal and came to know him through my dear friend and companion Hugh Sloan West III a relative of his. Elder Nibley brought a humble power that I will never forget. His musical expertise allowed our 160 missionaries the rare and amazing opportunity to stand together and sing at a Expos Game, what a statement to the public and an unforgettable experience. You were a beacon to us all dear friend, I will always be grateful to you...
