Reid James Stava

I am Sara ("Sally") Vacha, a playmate of Reid's growing up in University Heights, Ohio. We were part of a group of 5 boys and myself who played everything from cowboys to army to tobogganing in winters on a neighborhood hillside. Reid was one of my favorites being kind, fun, friendly and a handsome boy. I am very sorry to have heard that Reid has recently died. He was a friend of mine, as we shared several common interests: sailing, building model ships, train sets, and others.

I have known Reid since he bought my J-24 in 1983. I had taken the boat in trade when I sold my wooden 30 foot sailboat. We have been freinds since then.

Reid also worked briefly for my loft, and we also did some service calls together, one of which was near his home town in Ohio.
