Mike, In the short time I knew your wonderful mother I garnered many stories and so much history from her to last the rest of my life. She will always be with you and the rest of the family. She is loved by many. She will always be "Okaasan" to so many people. Tom

I would just like to say I loved to see Mrs. Reiko when she came to Sam's Town. I could spend hours with her talking and cheer g her on at the slots. I was never to busy for Mrs. Reiko, I would go out of my way to say hello to her and she was always so comical, just still saddens me that she is no longer with us.

There are so many memories....when i was a little girl Around seven or eight my mom Betty Phillips would take me to reikos home on the base for alterations. Reiko was always dressed in a gorgeous kimono with Lacquered sticks coming out of her hair snd she would give me fortune cookies!!!! Fast forward to Christmas in the Sky ....every year reiko would remake my dress with flowers...feathers....etc and come to my house with Michael to get me into my gown......THERE IS NO ONE LIKE DEAR REIKO

I did not know her or her family but feel like I did with the wonderful account of her life. It is a blessing to have these "immigrants" that enrich the lives of others as well as their own. THe family was blessed to have such a successful and attentive matriarch. Sorry for your loss.

I remember when Mike brought her to Eldorado Casino and introduced me to his mom. She was so excited to be there. She had a beautiful smile as well as a beautiful personality. Fly High Mrs. Vasant You will truly be missed.
