I was married for 31 years to his neighbor Dennis Hall. Dennis loved and respected him as a mentor and friend

Reine was a kind and wonderful man. Glad to have help arrange a special tour of Okinawa for him guided by a friend living there...

We met Reine on a Asian/Pacific cruise in 2018. We were fortunate to be regaled with wonderful stories spanning the depression to current times. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by all fortunate enough to meet him.

Reine will be forever remembered as a Father Figure to me. Shortly after his wife Dorthy had passed I was paid the Ultimate compliment as I was introduced to his family as his "Son By Choice". I can only say that GOD has a TRUE Angel and will be able to sit back and watch Reine re-engineer the wings of the Angel(s) . Reine always said that I was God Sent . Reine was a true gentleman and is going to be remembered as my Father by Choice.

A friend, who taught me how valuable optimism is. He surly had it.

I am humbled and honored, and was educated & entertained, just being Reine's friend. I guess finally and for the very first time, life is no longer "Getting Better Every Day". Truly one of the best, a man of the Greatest Generation that he exemplified (finally, I have the last word on that argument). You touched more people than you know. Fare well and God Bless.
