Not sure what to say?

I met Raino about 15 years ago on my quest to find the "Whisperer" which was built by my grandfather John "Jack" O'Neill, Jr., and Raino was one of the drivers of that car and the owner at that time. My grandmother always spoke highly of Raino, and it was an honor for me to meet him and see him with the car. On behalf of the O'Neills I would like to extend our condolences to the family. He was both a great driver and a great man.

My deep sympathies to the Tulonen Family. As a friend of Rod's I came to know Reino well, always working in the garage with a smile. He was a caring decent man with a deep love for Anna and his children.

What a great race driver, what a great man! In 64 when we won the championship he got a 7' trophy! We had to tie it on the roof of his car to get it home. Years later, he told me that he made a hat rack out of it. Rick Falconi

My condolences to Anna and the rest of Reino's family. I have many fond memories of him and his friendliness and humor from my childhood and youth. He and my brother Francis married sisters, and were our neighbors for a time on Franklin St. Always proud of his successes as a racer.

I have great memories as a young boy of watching the "Flying Finn" race at the old Westboro Speedway against the likes of Fats Caruso, Bobby Sprague, Leo Cleary and Freddie "Dutch" Schultz. My Dad was able to get me an autographed picture of him in his race car. My deepest sympathy to your entire family.

My deepest sympathy to Anna and the Tulonen family.

I have long admired Reino's racing prowess and his love of the sport. I did not know that Reino and I share the same birthday.

Anna, Joanne, Rod and Elaine
