Rene' Phillips Greer

This is Bill Bingham graduated in 1969 from Robert E Lee high school . I'm looking for her father who I believe coached my in the spring of 1967 -- I'll never forget His leadership and wanted to know if He is still alive- I last saw him in 1999 at my 30 year class reunion- I'm 74 years old have 4 daughters 9 grandchildren and 3 greats . I want to pass his legacy down do them I never met Rene Greer- just trying to see if Earl is still around!

Rene was a joy to be around...spunky, witty, passionate about her family, impeccable taste and desire to maximize life. I´m truly sad for the loss of her community. Rene wanted so much to be actively enjoying her family for many more years.

I was so sad to learn of Renee´s passing. I grew up down the street from Renee´ and attended Central High School with her. She always had a smile and I have many happy memories with her. Sending love and prayers of peace to Renee´s husband, her four children and grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Phillips, Robin, Rhea, Rhett and the rest of the family.

As a young reporter at The Advocate, Rene compassionately showed me the ropes and gave me the most poignant, on point and useful advice, professionally, personally and spiritually. She was a kind soul who took time to help me out of many a dark hole, and made me a better reporter, friend and human being.

Will always be remembered

This lady deserves her own pyramid in EBR. May we long remember her many contributions to our community. Condolences to the Phillips and Greer families.
